Quienes Somos

La palabra Guenda proviene del Zapoteco, lengua indígena viva del estado de Oaxaca, México. Tiene diversos significados pero nosotros quisimos tomar el de ORIGEN

 

Guenda is a word from the Zapoteca indigenous language from Oaxaca, Mexico. It has various meanings but we took the one of ORIGIN.

 

Origen:

  • Porque sabemos que cuando viajas te conectas con el lugar que visitas y con sus personas sin olvidar de dónde vienes (Because we know that when you travel you connect with the people and the place you visit without forgetting where you come from)
  • Porque cuando haces algún deporte de aventura regresas a donde inició todo, la naturaleza (Because when you practice an outdoor sport you go back where everything started, nature)
  • Porque cuando viajas y exploras otros lugares, te encuentras a ti mismo (Because when you travel and explore other places, you find yourself.

    En Guenda a través de la innovación buscamos enaltecer y preservar lo bueno de México conectandote con su cultura a través de sus textiles

    Creamos productos con materiales y procesos de bajo impacto ambiental; los cuales puedes usar todos los días o en tus aventuras

    In Guenda through innovation  we seek to enhance and preserve the good things about Mexico, connecting you with its culture through its textiles.

     

    We create products with processes and materials with a low environment impact that you can use on your adventures or in your everyday life.



    Trabajamos en co-creación con diferentes grupos de artesanías textiles, otorgándoles un pago justo por su trabajo y herramientas para el desarrollo de sus comunidades

    De esta manera generamos un desarrollo positivo en lo económico, social y ambiental

     

    We work in co-creation with different artesanal textile groups, giving them a fair payment for their work and tools for developing their communities.

     

    This way in the economic, social and environmental aspects we generate a positive development.



    Capacitaciones: Dependiendo de las necesidades de las comunidades se han creado talleres y capacitaciones para estar mejor preparadas para el mercado moderno e impulsando su empoderamiento.

     

    Treining: Depending on the needs of each community we have created workshops to share tools that prepare them for the modern market by encouraging their empowerment

     

    Co-Creación: Generamos un vínculo con las comunidades la cual nos permite compartir ideas, experiencias y diseños para llegar juntos a un diseño final

     

    Co-creation: We develop a bond with the communities, which allow us to share ideas, experiences and designs to create together a final design

     

    Pago justo: El trabajo de cada artesana es pagado dependiendo la dificultad de la técnica y el tiempo dedicado a la misma

     

    Fair Payment: Each artisanal work is paid based on the difficulty of the technique and the time spent on its creation

     

    Horas flexibles: ellas eligen la cantidad de trabajo que pueden aceptar y la hora y el día que trabajan en cada pieza.

     

    Flexible shchedules: The artisans decide the amount of work that they can handle and the time and the day they will work on each piece

     

    Materiales naturales: Buscamos que los materiales y fibras empleados sean de una fuente natural, especialmente de la región donde fue producida

     

    Natural materials: We encourage the use of natural fibers and materials, especially locally produced.

     

    Nombr de la artesana: Cada producto contiene el nombre de la persona que lo hizo, firmando así como autora de la pieza

     

    Name of the artisan: Each product has the name of the artisan who made it, signed as the author of the piece
